Journalism Department Discusses Its Work with Docutribe

The Journalism Department at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University has partnered with Docutribe to launch an intensive course focused on storytelling, documentary filmmaking, and audiovisual journalism. The pilot program combines technical filmmaking skills with journalism, media literacy, and community-focused storytelling.

The program will also feature guest speakers from the journalism and media industries, along with access to filmmaking equipment and editing software. The pilot may eventually expand into semester- or year-long courses and broader collaboration with other university departments. Students will work through the filmmaking process from developing an idea and storyboard to filming and editing, creating short documentaries about everyday life in Chernivtsi and Bukovyna.
