Douglas J. Pick has spent almost thirty years practicing law in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors' rights and commercial litigation. Over those years, Mr. Pick has successfully represented innumerable debtors, trustees, committees, creditors, litigants, lenders, landlords and other parties in interest in all types of bankruptcy cases and related proceedings.

Mr. Pick had spearheaded the bankruptcy group at Fink, Weinberger, Friedman, Berman Lowell & Fensterheim PC. He also spent six years at the prestigious firm Otterbourg, Steindler, Houston & Rosen, which specializes in creditors' rights, prior to leaving to form his own firm, Pick & Halperin, LLP, in 1996. In the interim, Mr. Pick served as assistant general counsel at Manufacturers Hanover Leasing Corp., where he dealt with complex equipment leases in courts throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. He also performed health care benefits consulting work for The Segal Co. In 2006, Mr. Pick and his longtime associate, Eric C. Zabicki, formed the firm Pick & Zabicki LLP whose practice quickly rivaled similar practices at much larger firms nationwide.

Mr. Pick has served as an expert on bankruptcy law for CNBC and had often appeared as a guest on radio talk shows dealing with consumers' rights and bankruptcy issues. He frequently lectures on creditors' rights and alternatives to bankruptcy before major trade associations, including groups representing such diverse industries as book publishing, diamond and gemstone, apparel and credit.

Mr. Pick graduated from New York Law School in 1980 while simultaneously working for CT Corporation and, thereafter, The Segal Company. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1981 and is a magna cum laude graduate of St. John's University in New York. Mr. Pick was included in Super Lawyers for 2010, 2011, and 2014 through 2022.
