Diana Hriaban / Діана Грябан

My name is Diana Hriaban. I am twenty-two years old, and this is the second time I have participated in a project by Docutribe. I study at the Faculty of Linguistics and Translation, specializing in translation from English into Ukrainian.

Learning languages has not always been easy for me. However, with constant practice, dedication, and the guidance of my university teachers, I gradually gained confidence and developed my skills. This experience has allowed me not only to grow personally, but also to support and motivate others in their journey of learning English.

This project is especially meaningful to me because this time I am participating not as a translator, but as a project participant, and for the first time I am involved in film production. I am truly grateful to Docutribe for the opportunity to grow professionally, help others, and meet inspiring people.

Pavlo Lelet / Павло Лелет

I am an English teacher with three years of teaching experience and a fifth-year student at Chernivtsi National University. I work with learners of different levels and focus on making English practical, engaging, and relevant to real life.

For me, English is more than a subject — it is a tool for reaching different parts of the world, understanding other cultures, and sharing ideas across borders. This belief strongly influences both my teaching and my creative work. I frequently take extra projects in my free time, while I like to improve myself via practical tasks, try to host speaking clubs, learn international examination procedures and enhance my vocabulary, in my free time I try to play some interactive games that require communication and imagination like DnD.

Oleksandra Tanasiichuk / Олександра Танасійчук

My name is Oleksandra Tanasiichuk, and I am 21. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, where I trained as a foreign language teacher. This experience helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to explain ideas clearly.

I am now a Master’s student specializing in English–Ukrainian translation and translation from a second foreign language. For me, languages are a way to connect people and cultures, and I am especially interested in conveying meaning, tone, and emotion accurately across languages.

I am working on improving my translation skills, cultural awareness, and analytical thinking, aiming to become a translator who is both precise and sensitive to context and style. I am particularly interested in film studies, as this course can help me better understand how language interacts with visuals and storytelling. I hope it will deepen my ability to analyze dialogue and subtext and prepare me for audiovisual translation.

Diana Skakun / Діана Скакун

My name is Diana Skakun, and I am a master’s student of Translation at Chernivtsi National University. From my school years, I have been deeply interested in the art of translation and creative writing, seeing language as a way to tell stories and connect cultures. At one point, I also dreamed of becoming a journalist, which shaped my lasting interest in media, storytelling, and visual narratives.

I translate from and into Ukrainian, English, and German and aspire to develop my career as a translator and interpreter, particularly in media and television contexts. I am especially interested in localization, which I understand as the careful adaptation of a source text to the cultural and communicative needs of the target audience.

Beyond my studies, I enjoy reading and exploring Ukrainian history and culture. One of my long-term goals is to create an educational service that would introduce international audiences to Ukraine’s history, culture, and identity through accessible and well-adapted content.
