Anastasiia Khodosevych / Анастасія Ходосевич

My name is Anastasiia Khodosevych. I’m 21 years old and currently a master’s student at Chernivtsi National University. I consider myself a person deeply devoted to languages and the power they have to connect people across cultures. I am passionate about sharing experiences, discovering new traditions, and exploring different perspectives around the world. One of my greatest interests lies in creating documentaries and filmmaking, as I believe visual storytelling is a powerful way to capture reality and inspire others. Speaking about my goals, I am determined to strengthen both my creative and professional skills, particularly in communication, cultural awareness, teamwork, and media production.

Maryna Kozachuk / Марина Козачук

My name is Marina, and I am a student of foreign languages. I study translation and I really enjoy learning English and other languages. I have been interested in languages for many years, and I want to connect my future career with translation and communication.

At university, I learn about cultures, grammar, and different styles of speech. It is sometimes challenging, but I like improving my skills and becoming more confident. Languages help me understand people better and express my thoughts clearly.

I am very happy to take part in this project because it gives me a chance to grow, gain new experience, and work in a team. I am looking forward to learning something new and seeing the final results of our work.

Yana Lotynets / Яна Лотинець

My name is Yana Lotynets, and I am a 21-year-old Philology student from Ukraine, specializing in English and translation. I am currently studying in an international academic environment through Erasmus, which has strengthened my interest in how language, culture, and identity interact in real-life communication.

My academic background includes media literacy, intercultural communication, and literary and cultural analysis. These areas have taught me how narratives are constructed, how meaning is created, and how audiences interpret stories — both through language and through visual media. This is why I am especially drawn to film as a form of storytelling that combines words, images, and emotion into a powerful narrative.

Through this course, I hope to develop skills in visual narration, documentary thinking, and audiovisual analysis, which will support my future work as a translator and cultural mediator. I want to learn how to tell meaningful stories that connect people across borders — linguistically, emotionally, and culturally.

Vitalii Khashchovyi / Віталій Хащовий

My name is Vitalii Khaschovyi, I am a translator working with English and German, and I see language as a way to connect cultures and meanings. I am studying English and German-Ukrainian translation at Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University and have experience participating in the international projects Building Bridges (Poland/Greece) and translating film workshops. I am extremely interested in improving my knowledge of cinema, better understand the language of cinema, and develop both hard skills (film analysis, script work, the basics of directing and editing) and soft skills—teamwork, communication, and creative thinking—in order to combine translation and cinema in creative projects.

Roman Hanhal / Роман Гангал
