Docutribe’s partnership began in 2022 under the direction of Vasyl Bialyk at Chernivtsi University’s Department of Linguistics and Translation. Students created short films honoring their culture and reality while developing leadership skills through Docutribe’s course: The Foundations of Film-Making Celebrating Ukraine: The Stories That Unite.

Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, a public institution in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, has been a significant hub for higher education and research since its establishment in 1875. Situated at the esteemed Residence of Bukovinian and Dalmatian Metropolitans building complex, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the university has distinguished itself as a leading Ukrainian academic institution.
In the year 2023, the Department of Linguistics and Translation at Chernivtsi National University engaged in a productive collaboration with Cecily Tyler, the esteemed founder of Docutribe, Inc., and her associates in a joint initiative to provide students with the invaluable opportunity to present their narratives on a global platform through the art of filmmaking and storytelling. Cecily Tyler, an accomplished filmmaker and storyteller with a remarkable 25 years of professional experience, partnered with the Department's Head, Vasyl Bialyk, to equip students with leadership training, essential skills in creating short films and enriching their understanding of cinematic history.
Guided by Cecily Tyler, the participants acquired a diverse range of practical and applicable skills, including conducting interviews, filming in diverse settings, editing and disseminating video content, and exploring various forms of translation through the utilization of video editing software. This collaboration culminated in the inaugural screening of the students' works at the esteemed Chernivtsi Cinema Hall in 2024, where all of the members of the project had a chance to present and discuss their pieces of cinematography.
The Department expresses deep appreciation for Cecily Tyler's engaging and beneficial course, as well as her unwavering commitment to productive work. We eagerly anticipate the continuation of this valuable partnership in the future.

Чернівецького національного університету імені Юрія Федьковича
Чернівецький національний університет імені Юрія Федьковича, державна установа в м. Чернівці, Україна, є важливим центром вищої освіти та досліджень з моменту свого заснування в 1875 році. Університет розташований у визначному комплексі будівель, а головний корпус є колишньою Резиденцією митрополитів Буковини і Далмації, який внесений до списку Всесвітньої спадщини ЮНЕСКО. Ця установа зарекомендувала себе як провідна українська академічна установа.
У 2023 році кафедра лінгвістики та перекладу Чернівецького національного університету розпочала плідну співпрацю з Сесілі Тайлер, шанованою засновницею Docutribe, Inc. та її колегами у спільній ініціативі, щоб надати студентам безцінну можливість представити свої наративи на глобальній платформі за допомогою мистецтва кіно та сторітелінгу. Сесілі Тайлер, досвідчена режисерка та оповідачка з 25-річним професійним досвідом, разом із завідувачем кафедри Василем Дмитровичем Бяликом допомогли студентам здобути лідерські навички, необхідні для створення короткометражних фільмів та збагатити своє розуміння історії кіно.
Під керівництвом Сесілі Тайлер учасники набули різноманітних практичних і прикладних навичок, включаючи проведення інтерв'ю, зйомки в різних умовах, редагування та розповсюдження відеоконтенту, а також вивчення різних форм перекладу за допомогою програмного забезпечення для редагування відео. Кульмінацією цієї співпраці став інавгураційний показ студентських робіт у Кінотеатрі “Чернівці” у 2024 році, де всі учасники проєкту мали змогу представити та обговорити свої кінематографічні роботи.
Кафедра висловлює глибоку вдячність Сесілі Тайлер за цікавий та корисний курс, а також за її непохитну відданість плідній роботі. Ми з нетерпінням чекаємо на продовження цього цінного партнерства в майбутньому.
