Kateryna Boiko / Катерина Бойко

"Language was just difference. A thousand different ways of seeing, of moving through the world. No, a thousand worlds within one. And translation, a necessary endeavor however futile, to move between them.”

― R.F. Kuang, Babel

As a third-year student at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, I have always sought to deepen my understanding of how words shape thought and connection. Languages are what make moving between different worlds possible. I am honored to have the opportunity to help people cross the bridge from one to another.

Anhelina Snizhok / Ангеліна Сніжок

My name is Anhelina Snizhok, and I am a student at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, with a focus on English-Ukrainian translation. I study English and French, alongside my interest in Chinese.

I have always been fascinated by learning foreign languages, and I chose this course because translation enables me to connect cultures and make knowledge more accessible.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, which helps me broaden my vocabulary and understanding of different perspectives.

I am motivated to participate in translating lectures as a way to apply my skills in my future profession and to step out of my comfort zone

Vue Andrushchak / В'ю Андрущак

The world of interpretations always fascinated me. It was the dimension where I always wanted to begin my career. I couldn’t even imagine that listening, translating and speaking simultaneously was possible — but it is.

For now, I’m only a student who is trying their best to be an interpreter. Notwithstanding, I believe that translations are so needed for Ukraine now, thus I’m ready to be a part of creating and developing such an important trade in such a difficult time

Alina Veremiienko / Аліна Веремієнко

My name is Alina, I study at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Chernivtsi National University and want to become a great translator. Although I plan to translate mainly written materials, I am still interested in trying my hand at interpreting, which is why I am participating in this project. I hope it will be an interesting experience.

Я Аліна, навчаюсь на факультеті іноземних мов ЧНУ і хочу стати крутим перекладачем. Хоча й планую перекладати переважно письмові матеріали, та все ж цікаво спробувати себе і в усному перекладі, саме тому й беру участь у цьому проєкті. Сподіваюсь це буде цікавим досвідом.
